Powercycle the computer, modem and router
To powercycle your computer and modem (and router), please follow the instructions below.
If you have a DSL Modem but no Router:
- Reboot/Power Off - PC, wait 60 seconds > Modem, wait 60 seconds to 3 minutes.
- Power On - Modem, wait 60 seconds > PC
If you have a DSL Modem -and- a Router:
- Reboot/Power Off - PC, wait 60 seconds > Router, wait 60 seconds > Modem, wait 60 seconds to 3 minutes.
- Power On - Modem > Router > PC, waiting 30 seconds between each step to give each device a moment to refresh its settings.
