High High security level only allows basic Internet functionality. Only mail, news, web, FTP and IPSec are allowed. All other traffic is prohibited.
Medium Factory default. Like high security, medium securityonly allows basic Internet functionality by default. However, medium security allows customization through NAT configuration so that you can enable the traffic that you want to pass.
Low The low security setting will allow all traffic except for known attacks. With low security, your Router is visible to other computers on the Internet.
Custom Customer is an advanced configuration option that allows you to edit the firewall configruation directly.

Note: Only the most advanced users should try this.


Edit Firewall Rules

Select Edit from the Security Level screen to display the User Defined Firewall Rules screen. This screen allows you to change the security parameters on the Inbound and Outbound Firewall rules.

To apply the new settings, click Apply in the screen labeled User Defined Firewall Rules. Click OK on the pop-up screen to make the new firewall settings take affect.

To save the new settings, click Save in the screen labeled User Defined Firewall Rules. Click OK when asked Do you wish to save these Rules to Flash and switch your Security Level to "User"?.
