Windows 2000 - DSL Connection

Before you begin, you will need the following information:

Open the Control Panel and double click Network and Dialup Connections.

Right click Local Area Connection and select Properties.

Click the Networking tab, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click Properties.

Select the option Use the following IP address. Enter your assigned IP address, Subnet mask and Default gateway.

Select Use the following DNS Server addresses. Enter your primary and secondary DNS servers into the Preferred and Alternate DNS Server fields. Click here for the list of Expedient DNS servers.

Click OK, and OK again. Close the Control Panel. You may need to restart the computer for the new connection to become active.
