Connecting with WinPoET

	Before you begin...
	Changing the Windows Network settings may require the original Windows installation CD or disks, or Windows system source (cabinet) files on the computers's hard drive. Expedient cannot be held responsible for any problems with the Windows Network configurations if these items are required but are not supplied at the time of configuration.

You will need administrative privileges to install WinPoET on Windows 2000 or Windows NT.

Before installing WinPoET, close all running applications. Launch the setup application WinPoET.exe or insert the CD.

Configure the Network Interface Card

Choose Click here to Configure after the installation screen has loaded.

Select your network adapter and click OK.

When prompted to overwrite the network adapter settings, click Yes.

Click OK. You may need to restart your computer.

Installing WinPoET

After restarting, restart the WinPoet installation program again. On the main installation screen, choose Click here to install. Follow through the installation wizard.

You may be prompted for the original Windows Installation CD or disks, or Windows system source files (cabs) at this point.

When the installation is complete, click Finish. Restart your computer.

Connecting with WinPoET

To connect:

• Double click the WinPoET icon on your desktop.
• Enter your Expedient username in the form of username@dsl.stargate.net or username@expedient.net (whichever applies) into the User Name field.
• Enter your password into the Password field.
• Click Connect.

If you would like WinPoET to start up when you turn on or log into your computer, you can place a shortcut to the WinPoET software into your Startup folder.
