Post-Terminal Window

Useful for determining whether a connection problem is due to DUN and/or TCP/IP or the modem. Garbage characters (or dashes and C characters) usually occurs with X2 modems; this is related to the V.42 error correction protocol. If you have a USR x2 modem add: ATS15=128 to the Extra Settings in the modem properties of the connectoid. This will change the error correction protocol to MNP. For all modems, make sure 'use error control' is selected. If extra characters appear beside the login/password prompts, there is a modem configuration issue.
