Outlook Express 4.5 - Mail

SMTP Auth and SSL

Expedient email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use Expedient email.

For further information and setup instructions, see the links below. NOTE: Please configure SMTP Auth or SSL after first configuring your email program for your Expedient email.

  • SMTP Authentication
  • SSL Encryption (outgoing)
  • SSL Encryption (incoming)
  • Open Outlook Express. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.

    Choose E-mail from the menu on the left. To setup a new mail account, click the New Account button and type Expedient in the Account name field. Click OK.

    • Enter your name in the Full name field.
    • Enter your email address in the E-mail address field.
    • Enter your Expedient mail servers into the SMTP server and POP server fields. Click here for the list of Expedient Mail Servers.
    • Enter your email username or Expedient email address in the format of username@expedient.net in the Account ID field in lowercase letters. If you want to save your password, check the Save password box and enter your email password.

    Click OK to save your changes and return to Outlook Express.
