Netscape 4.0 - News

The pictures shown in these instructions were taken on a Windows based computer, but the content and instructions will be nearly identical for Macintosh users.

These instructions assume that your email account has already been setup in Netscape Communicator 4.0. If you need to setup your email, please click here for instructions.

Open Netscape. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences.

Click the Groups Server Category. You may need to click the plus (+) next to Mail & Groups first.

• Enter your Expedient news server into the Discussion groups (news) server box. Click here for the list of Expedient News Servers.
• The Port number should be 119.

Click OK to save your changes. You should be prompted to download the list of groups from the news server.
