myStargate: Mobile Dialing

Subscribers anticipating different dialing information to call "to" and "from" each connection may select the Use Mobile Dialing option under the Tools menu. This will launch the Mobile Dialer before each connection. The Mobile Dialer allows the subscriber to choose dialing properties before you connect online.

The Mobile Dialer is particularly useful for roaming users as settings changed in the Mobile Dialer do not change the permanent settings stored in the Dashboard Preferences.

1. When "Use Mobile Dialing" is selected from the "Tools" menu, the subscriber clicks "Connect" to open the Mobile Dialer.

   

2. The Mobile Dialer is displayed and the user may change settings temporarily in the Mobile Dialer.

   

3. The Dialer displays the phone number and "Dialing from:" location, which can be altered before connecting by clicking the pop-up menu. The subscriber may also click the Phonebook icon to select other available access numbers.

   

4. The numbers dialed by myStargate are displayed on the line below and combine the phone number from the Phonebook with the behaviors specified in the selected location. The subscriber may manually override the number generated, if necessary.
5. The subscriber can also manually override the logon information for account id and password in the Mobile Dialer.
6. Once all options are set the subscriber can initiate the connection by clicking the "Connect" button in the Mobile Dialer window.
