myStargate is a software application that maintains your Internet connections and preferences. With myStargate you can...

  • Connect to the Internet with just a few clicks of your mouse.
  • Run Diagnostics to find and repair configuration and connection errors.
  • Reconfigure multiple myStargate-supported Internet applications by changing the settings in your myStargate configuration.
  • Automatically update your account with configuration information from Stargate.
  • Save a log of your configuration settings and errors to assist your technical support representative in solving connection problems.

User Guides and Support Agent/Guide

The myStargate Windows and Macintosh User Guides are available on the menu bar of the myStargate Dashboard under "Help" and can be opened OFFLINE. They are also available below as are the "Support Agent" (Windows) and "Support Guide" (Macintosh).

myStargate Virtual Applications (vApps)

To see how the software is configured to use with a Stargate account and to get a view of the "Dashboard" - a launchpad from which you can surf the web, browse email and get support, use our virtual applications of the Windows and Macintosh versions of myStargate.

System Requirements

Before using myStargate, your computer must meet the minimum hardware and software requirements:

Recommended System Requirements

  • Windows 98, Windows ME:Pentium 133MHz processor or faster, 64 MB RAM, 500 MB free disk space
  • Windows 2000 (SP1 or higher): Pentium 133MHz processor or faster, 128 MB RAM, 500 MB free disk space
  • Windows XP: Pentium 233MHz or higher with 128 MB RAM and 1 gig free disk space

  • Macintosh OS 8-9: Power PC 601 processor with 64MB RAM, Virtual RAM enabled and 300 MB free disk space
Note: myStargate is NOT compatible with Windows 95, Windows NT or Macintosh OS X.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Windows 98: Pentium processor, 32 MB RAM, 30 MB free disk space
  • Macintosh OS 8-9.x: PowerPC, 32 MB RAM, Virtual RAM enabled, 30 MB free disk space

Supported Applications

  • Dial-up Networking 1.2 or greater
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 – 6.x (XP has IE 6.0)
  • Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4.5 - 4.7
  • Outlook Express 4.x – 6.x (XP has OE 6.0)
  • Outlook 98, Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002
Note: IMAP and Exchange email (MAPI protocol) are not currently supported. myStargate does not support MS Outlook in Workgroup mode. If you use Exchange with Outlook, please do NOT make Outlook the default e-mail client in MyStargate or the installation type will be changed from Corporate or Workgroup to Internet Only. If this has happened, click here for a fix
