Macintosh OS 9: Disable Call Waiting

To disable call waiting on MacOS 9 with Remote Access:

  1. Open Remote Access
  2. Edit menu -> User Modes
  3. Select Advanced, click OK
  4. RemoteAccess menu -> DialAssist
  5. Prefix button in lower right
  6. Click Add
  7. Type in "Disable Call Waiting - *70" in the Label field and *70 in the Number field
  8. Click OK, then OK again. This takes you back to the DialAssist screen. Where it says "Prefix: None", click the up/down arrow on the right then choose Disable Call Waiting - *70
  9. Close that window
  10. Put a check in "Use DialAssist"
  11. Close Remote Access and save changes.
