Default News Client

To change your default news client:

Windows

• Open the Control Panel.
• Double click the Internet Options icon and click the Programs tab.
• Select the news client you would like to be default from the Newsgroups drop down list.
• Click OK to save the changes.

Macintosh OS X

• Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
• Click the Internet icon and select the News tab.
• Choose your preferred news application from the Default News Reader pulldown menu.

  If your preferred news client is not in the pulldown menu, choose Select to find your preferred choice.

• Quit the System Preferences and save the changes.

Macintosh OS 8-9

• Click the Apple menu, go to Control Panels, and click Internet.
• Click the News tab.
• Select your preferred news application from the Default News application menu.

  If your preferred news client is not in the pulldown menu, choose Select to find your preferred choice.

• Close the windows and save the changes.
