iPass Global Roaming Configuration
Windows
To setup the iPass Dial Wizard for Windows:
- Double click the iPass Connect icon.
- Click the Options menu and choose Dial Properties.
- Set the Dial Properties as appropriate for the location from which you are dialing. We recommend setting the 'Location same as selected number' option. Click OK.
- Click the Options menu and choose User info.
- Enter your username (in the form of username@expedient.net) and password into the Username and Password fields. Choose the correct domain from the drop-down menu and click OK.
- Click the Options menu and choose Settings.
- If you would like a specific program to open after iPass has connected, set it up on the General tab.
- Click the Dialup tab.
- If necessary, select your modem from the list, and set your Redialing options (We do not recommend using the SmartRedial option). Click OK.
To use the iPass Dial Wizard for Windows:
Macintosh
To setup the iPass Dial Wizard for Macintosh:
- Open the iPass Dial Wizard. It should be located in the iPassConnect folder on the Hard drive.
- Click the Options menu and choose Dial Properties.
- Set the Dial Properties as appropriate for the location from which you are dialing. We recommend setting the 'Location same as selected number' option. Click OK.
- Click the Options menu and choose User info.
- Enter your username (in the form of username@expedient.net or @stargate as the case may be) and password into the Username and password fields. Choose the correct domain from the popup menu and click OK.
- Click the Options menu and choose Settings.
- Set your Redialing options (We do not recommend using the SmartRedial option).
- If you would like a specific program to open after iPass has connected, set it up in the section at the bottom. Click OK.
To use the iPass Dial Wizard for Macintosh:
- Open the iPass Dial Wizard. It should be located in the iPassConnect folder on the Hard drive.
- Select the Country, State or Territory (if applicable), City and Area Code (if Necessary).
- Select the Access Point that you would like to use.
- The number will show, as it will be dialed, in the box next to the Dialing Properties button. If necessary, click Dialing Properties to set the correct dialing prefixes.
- Click Connect.
